Istanbul airport introduces biometric

Home air harbor of the Turkish city prepares for innovation arriving foreigners in the near future in the Ataturk airport system will be introduced biometrics.

With an annual passenger traffic of about 57 million people, Ataturk Airport is the largest and busiest in Turkey. Now the passage of control would require 15 to 21 seconds. Currently, 4 cabins e-gate, biometric readers, working in test mode and applies only to citizens of Turkey. Subsequently, however, the same procedure will be held all passengers arriving at the airport.

Administration Istanbul hub reports that e-gate system will relieve the airport because arriving data will be processed much faster and with greater efficiency.

At present, these systems are used in some airports in the US and the UK.
